How to create and set-up your IC Markets brokerage account

In this article, we will show you how to create, configure, and connect your IC Markets brokerage account.

Hugging Trade is a trading platform that allows you to work with numerous brokers, however we prefer IC Markets for its speed of execution, fast withdrawal, and commitment to its clients.

Note

IC Markets is the preferred broker if you reside in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania or the Americas.

Oanda is the preferred broker if you reside in the USA or Canada.

Step 1 - Open your live trading account

Step 2 - Select your account type and enter your personal details

Here you will select an Individual account, enter your date of birth and primary residence.

Step 3 - Configure your trading account

Here you will select MetaTrader 5, as the preferred trading platform.
For account type, please choose a Standard Account.
Please select USD as the preferred currency.

Note

It's that simple, less the 2-minutes to sign-up. Please review your application and then complete the declaration.

Once your application has been submitted, you will be asked to upload a form of government ID, either Passport or Drivers License.

On approval, you will have full access to your IC Markets dashboard, whereby you can locate your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) details and deposit funds.

One inside your dashboard, please ensure that you activate a Live account, not Demo.

Note

Remember, please sign up with a "Standard" account and not a "Raw Spread" account.

Please ensure that the leverage of your Live account has been set to 1:100
